About Me
I am Ahmad Mustapha, a doctoral researcher at the American University of Beirut (AUB) working at the intersection of deep learning and medical imaging. My research focuses on unsupervised representation learning, inter-model interpretability, and uncovering bias in clinical AI systems , with a particular interest in how models learn from medical image data without explicit supervision.
Beyond research, I build and deploy AI systems: from X-ray disease detection and drone-based object detection to full-stack AI platforms. I teach the AIxMED Summer Saturdays series , a hands-on online course on AI in medical imaging for clinicians, researchers, and engineers.
